Vintage 54 "Surf"
This are the pickups that shape the sound of the Stratocaster™. Many guitarist, still prefer this early sound. Known better as the "Surf Tone". Sparkle highs and mids, fattening up when you push hard. Ideal for clean and mild overdrive.

The first evolution of the single coils. Now with Alnico 5 magnets, it delivers a fat "Sweet" punchy tone, many consider the Gold Era of the Strat™ With smooth mids, it cleans up nicely when the volume is rolled back. Great for clean and low to medium overdrive.

This is our "hottest" set. Much like the 59, but slightly overwound and different wire, this pickups unleash full Blues Tones. They drive a clean amp, to the verge of breakup, giving that full "punchy" sound. Great for clean and low to medium overdrive.

Built in close partnership with the talented guitarist André Rodrigues, this set was designed with versatility in mind. The open style cover in the neck pickup give it a sparkle that normally Telecasters do not have.The bridge pickup is a real treaty. With a tap coil, we can have the best of two worlds, a wonderful vintage sound, but when engage the second wire we have a great roar, excelent for a good rock & roll.

This set was made using a "secret sauce", for a very special bass. This is the first bass, ever made by Ergon Guitar
This set came to us, for repair from an initial malfunction and low output.
The challenge was to rebuild it, using the custom flatworks and covers. We add extra magnets, add N52 imans to the bottom. The result are a full, rich and powerful humbucker bass pickups.
At SB Custom we eat our "own dog food"!
